East Plains UC is pleased to welcome Rev. Dr. Barbara Fullerton as our transitional part-time interim minister starting in September, 2018.





We consider ourselves a friendly church, open to all. We have head sets for the hearing impaired and an elevator for those needing the use of a wheelchair. We would very much like the opportunity to meet you and celebrate together in Christian Worship.

After our worship service this past Sunday (October 14, 2018) East Plains UC held a ribbon cutting ceremony with local politicians for the new Accessibility Elevator. Many thanks to the following for their attendance and support of this project. Karina Gould, PC MP for Burlington; Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring; Ron Foxcroft, founder of Fox International; retiring councillor Rick Craven, Ward 1 Burlington; and Eleanor McMahon, past MPP for Burlington. Many thanks also to Dr. Paul Echlin who was the driving force behind this project.

Men's Breakfast October 13, 2018Andrea Kelly spoke about "Project Harvest-Guatemala, a project that empowers rural families in Guatemala through training in food security and woman's leadership. Click on our "Men's Breakfast" page for the write up.

Hamilton-Wentworth Apple Day, October 11,12 & 13,2018. All proceeds go to Mt. Nemo Scout and Ragged Falls camps. Please support this traditional yearly fund raiser for our scouting movement.

Climate Change Reading Group Our group met Saturday Oct. 13 to talk about the book "Drawdown," edited by Paul Hawken. 100 solutions to "drawdown" greenhouse gas emissions from present day levels comprise the content of the book and each solution is graded 1-100 according to the amount of carbon dioxide that can be reduced (in Gigatons) by the year 2050. Refrigeration was rated #1 and Wind Turbines #2. Our next meeting is in February 2019.

Our 45th Arts & Crafts Show is Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018. Over 50 artisans.
