Two Events on Climate Change, April 27 + May 4, 2019
 The social + goodies for the film on April 27 starts at 7:00pm in the sanctuary and is followed by the screening at 7:30pm. PDF

Dr. Roy Kirkpatrick April 28
 Dr. Roy Kirkpatrick, a surgeon in Huntsville, Ontario, will be leading our worship service on Sunday April 28, 10:30am. Dr. Kirkpatrick is the son of Lois Kirkpatrick, a long time member at East Plains. He will be talking about his experience as a member of "Medecins sans Frontieres," /Doctors without Borders. Last year Dr. Kirkpatrick received a service award from the OMA for his years of service.

Messy Church March 3, 2019
 You are invited to our Messy Church Family Night on Friday March 3, 4:45pm-7:00pm. This event is for all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult. Lots of crafts, a celebration time (a Bible story) and a free meal. It's a lot of fun. PDF

East Plains UC is pleased to welcome Rev. Dr. Barbara Fullerton as our transitional part-time interim minister starting in September, 2018.





We consider ourselves a friendly church, open to all. We have head sets for the hearing impaired and an elevator for those needing the use of a wheelchair. We would very much like the opportunity to meet you and celebrate together in Christian Worship.

HAPPY EASTER Please join us for our Easter Sunday Service, April 21, at 10;30am. Rev. Fullerton will lead this special service.

Messy Church Our first Messy Church event was a great success with over 50 people attending. The children had fun doing the activities and the decorations were stunning. Children also took part in the story of Noah told by Rev. Barb which was followed by a delicious meal enjoyed by all. Next MC event is May 3; open to all ages.

Men's Breakfast April 13 Our guest speaker was Denise Davy, former reporter with the Hamilton Spectator who spoke about the need for more funding for homeless people like "Margaret." See the "Men's Breakfast page for the write up.

Annual Spring Clean-Up Saturday April 27, 8:30am-noon. Volunteers are needed to rake, sweep, weed, dig the gardens and grounds. You will be rewarded with a BBQ provided by our master chef Stan. Some tools will be provided but if possible, bring your own.

Climate Change Reading Group Our next meeting will be May 4, at 7:00pm in the Campbell Room. We will discuss the book "Climate Change: What Everyone Needs to Know (2017)" by Joseph Romm. Mr Romm is a Ph.D scientist at MIT and the book gives an updated account of the basic science of Climate Change. As usual our own Rev. Harold Wells will give a resume of the book and direct the discussion. All are welcome even if you have not read the book.

Joseph Wasswa Joseph has just finished his third term of primary four and has been promoted to primary five. His older sister Agnes has graduated from Tekera School in Masaka, Uganda.She studied to be a tailor.East Plains UC is happy to sponsor both of these students through our Wider Work program. We have posted images of both siblings on our home page.
